Text Box: OUR PURPOSE Tangelo Baptist Church exists to EXALT our Savior Jesus Christ, to EVANGELIZE the world through the gospel of Christ, to edify its members with unconditional love and to EQUIP its members to be disciple makers. Text Box: OUR VALUES 1. FAMILY is our top priority as members of this Church. Each member will be respected, nurtured, accepted unconditionally and encouraged to become all that Christ has created them to be. Having the same Father, the same Savior, the same Holy Spirit, the same baptism and the same faith makes each member of Tangelo Baptist Church family – John 1:12; John 13:34-35; Ephesians 2:10; Ephesians 4:4-6; Ephesians 5:15-16; Romans 8:15; II Corinthians 6:18; Galatians 4:5-6 2. WORSHIP of the Lord with all our being is our thanksgiving offering to Him for all things – Deuteronomy 6:5; Colossians 3:16-17; Matthew 22:37 3. MINISTRY is serving others regardless of race, creed, ethnicity or skin color. For we will love our neighbor as ourselves – Matthew 22:39; Romans 13:10; Romans 15:1-2; Galatians 5:14 4. EVANGELISM is reaching the world through love compelling them to come to Christ. And when they come we will make disciples of them – Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; Acts 5:20-21; II Timothy 4:2 5. FELLOWSHIP is our means to strengthen our common faith, to uplift each other, to encourage one another, and to remain connected to the household of faith – Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:41-47; Hebrews 10:25; I John 1:7 6. DISCIPLESHIP is our guide to obey the commands of Christ and develop a Christ-like lifestyle. Discipleship helps us learn how to walk as believers – Mathew 16:24; Matthew 28:20; Luke 14:26-27, 33; Romans 8:13; Romans 15:1; Galatians 5:24 7. MISSIONS work (the act of sending) aids in the establishment of new avenues to plant churches, to reach un-churched people, to perform humanitarian work and spread the message of Christ and our Southern Baptist faith.
