Dr. Smith accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior in August 1973, while serving on active duty in the United States Marine Corps.
The Second Missionary Baptist Church of Oceanside, California licensed him to preach the Gospel on September 8, 1974. He was ordained an as a Baptist Minister in March 18, 1978 also by Second Missionary Baptist Church.
Dr. Frank S. Smith currently serves as pastor of the Tangelo Baptist Church, Orlando, Florida. He formerly served as Assistant Pastor of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist, Orlando, Florida. Prior to uniting with Mt. Sinai, he served as Staff Minster of Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church, Cocoa, Florida.
He is married to the former Ms. Yolanda E. Swilley of Marianna, Florida. He is the proud father of five adult children and the stepfather to three adult children. Dr. Smith is also the grandfather of eleven grandchildren.
Dr. Smith is a retired United States Marine Corps Master Sergeant. He served his country honorably in the Corps for twenty-one years prior to retiring.
Dr. Smith has a Bachelor of Arts in Behavior Science from National University, San Diego, California. He also graduated from Saint Martin’s College and Seminary of Milwaukee, Wisconsin with a Master of Divinity degree. He has earned a Doctor of Theology degree from Fredericksburg Bible Institute and Seminary of Fredericksburg, Virginia.
